There’s a way through the uncertainty.
THERAPY FOR MIDLIFE STRESS.
YOU’RE EXHAUSTED FROM CONSTANTLY HOLDING IT TOGETHER.
You’ve got so many people counting on you — your kids, your family, aging parents, co-workers or employees — and you feel worn down by the crushing weight of responsibilities. You feel guilty for feeling this way, because you have worked so hard to get to this place in life. You love your family and your job, yet something doesn’t feel right.
To others it seems like you have it together, and you are able to keep up with daily demands. But inside, it’s a different story. You’re feeling overwhelmed and anxious, and that you’re just “white knuckling it” through each day. You can’t help but ask yourself, “is this what being an adult is supposed to feel like?”
Feel FAMILIAR?
MAYBE you’re…
Struggling with burnout and mental exhaustion.
Ready to stop wondering, “is this all there is?”
Wishing that you could feel present in life again.
Feeling trapped by the many roles in your life.
Here’s what we’ll do together
THERAPY for MIDLIFE STRESS CAN HELP YOU GAIN CLARITY AND PURPOSE.
Because life doesn’t come with an instruction manual.
We’ll start with taking a deep breath and giving you space to sort out what’s been troubling you. Instead of trying to “fix” every uncomfortable thought or feeling, we’ll learn to make space for them, understand what they are telling you, and loosen their grip on your day-to-day life.
We’ll also take a deeper look at your core values — the guiding principles that define the kind of person you want to be. Values can shift and change over time, and sometimes we lose touch with what really matters during times of high stress. And sometimes the things we do to cope with stress gets in the way of our values.
When we live life in alignment with values, we feel a deep sense of purpose and satisfaction. Together, we’ll help you take small steps forward towards a life that meaningfully reflects these values. It might sound overwhelming, but we’ll take things one small step at a time.

THERAPY CAN HELP YOU:
Create room to breathe & reflect.
A typical day for someone in midlife can feel like jumping from one moving treadmill to another, without any break. Therapy is a space just for you, where you can take a breath, exhale, and start to take care of yourself the same way you take care of other people.
01
Have the space & time to rediscover yourself.
You give everything to everyone in your life — your kids, partner, family, parents, friends, co-workers/employees, and community. Sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day to take care of yourself, too. Therapy gives you protected time just for you to explore those big existential questions that have been bubbling up.
02
Feel present and engaged in your life again.
Many individuals in midlife feel like they’re running on autopilot — a very well-functioning autopilot. When autopilot is the default mode, we miss out on small daily joys and feel like life is passing us by. Therapy can help you learn ways to be more mindfully present and engaged where it matters to you.
03
Learn skills and tools to manage stress.
I will help you learn new skills for coping so that you don’t snap at your kids and partner when you’re feeling stressed, or end up doom scrolling after a long day at work.
04
Change is always possible.
I’LL HELP YOU GET THERE.

COMMON QUESTIONS
-
Absolutely. Many people begin therapy with a sense that something is off without a clear explanation. You don’t have to have the words or a perfectly defined goal. I’m here to help you sort it out. Part of my job as your therapist is to help you figure out your goals — you don’t need to come into the first visit with an action plan already put together. You can set that perfectionistic part of you aside for now!
-
My main goal for the first session is to develop the beginnings of a trusting, safe therapeutic relationship with you. I will ask questions to learn more about what’s been troubling you, and listen without judgement. I’ll also ask questions to better understand your background and history. From there, we’ll start to explore ideas for goals and talk more about therapy will look like.

This will depend on your specific situation, but generally I recommend meeting weekly for the first 1-2 months for us to get to know each other and to gain momentum in treatment. From there, we can determine what frequency would work best.

This depends on your specific situation. Generally speaking, my clients start to feel relief after the initial few appointments. We’ll check in frequently about how you feel like therapy is going and make changes to our approach as needed.
